A few weekends ago, we spent a few days in Brimfield, Massachusetts taking in the final days of the world famous Brimfield Market. This was our first experience and all in all it was a positive one. Day one was spent getting the lay of the land...and what a huge "lay of the land" it was. Brimfield is acre upon acre of vintage and antique dealers. Some tents were hit or miss, some were full of great deals, and then there were those handful of vendors who priced their goods way out of reach. That's probably my biggest gripe: the insane prices. As a vendor myself, I understand that the fine Brimfield vendors need to make a living, but we found some of the prices borderline crazy. It's a flea market! A possible reason for these inflated prices could be the fact that these vendors spend most of the week buying things from one another and naturally that's going to drive the prices upward.
Not all the price tags were unaffordable...we did leave Brimfield that Sunday with some great deals for both the vintage shop and ourselves. It was a great weekend and we can't wait for the next market! Be on the lookout for our shop update coming soon! Here are a few of the items that we'll be posting soon.
