Basil Bonanza

Summer is quickly winding down . . . as is our summer garden.  And while the tomatoes and peppers are not as plentiful as they once were, we still have LOTS of basil left.  Not wanting it to go to waste, we've come up with a few easy ways to make this sweet herb last as long as possible.  We found a quick & healthy recipe for fresh pesto + a simple tutorial on how to dry the herbs.

Check out some of our tips for what to do with your own basil bonanza after the jump.

Inspring Indoor Bike Racks

In the next few months Warren and I will start the daunting, but exciting process of buying a home. We'll be looking in Philadelphia proper, which means we'll be leaving the quite county/suburban life behind. Since I'll soon be surrounded by urbanism again (yay!), I've decided to get a bike for those good weather days. Naturally, we'll need a fabulous bike rack to hang it from. My research is fresh, but here are some of my favorites so far.

Pallet Bookshelf and Bike Rack Furniture Ideas

We're suckers for anything repurposed with pallets, so naturally we'd be in love with this! And checkout those bookshelves. We may need this entire room. Courtesy of Stroovi
