Brooklyn Flea Comes to Philly
On Sunday, Warren and I eagerly hopped the train to Philly for the GRAND opening day of Brooklyn Flea Philly. While we've not yet been able to attend the original Brooklyn Flea in the NYC borough of the same name, its reputation is something we know well. The Piazza at Schmidt's, located in the Philly's Northern Liberties neighborhood, was bustling with flea market goers. We, just like everyone else in attendance, were like kids in a candy shop!
The market, which will happen every Sunday from 10a - 5p going forward, features top Philly area vendors of antique and repurposed furniture, vintage clothing, collectibles and antiques, as well as a tightly-curated selection of jewelry, art, and crafts by local artisans and designers. And, oh yeah, delicious fresh food too. In other words, a perfect Sunday afternoon in one of our favoite Philly neighborhoods.
Three Potato Four, Forge and Peg and Awl (three shop crushes of mine) were there selling their goods, as well as several others we were newly-introduced to. Check out more details and a full list of vendors HERE.
After we finished up the market, we headed across the street for soem Philly style Tex-Mex at El Camino Real...highly recommend for those of you in or around the City of Brotherly Love!
We'll be across town next weekend attending the Clover Market. More on that next week.
